COMOZTR Launches 2025 Welcome Guide for Mozambican Students in Turkey
The Mozambican Community in Turkey (COMOZTR) has officially released the new edition of the Welcome Guide for Mozambican Students—a practical handbook designed to support newcomers in adapting to academic, social, and cultural life in the country.
Titled “Your Guide to the Mozambican Community in Turkey – 2025 Edition”, the document gathers essential information on communication, banking and finance, public transportation, Turkish government digital services, as well as an introduction to the association’s organizational structure and city representatives.

Message from the President:
At the beginning of the guide, COMOZTR President Silale Saide emphasizes the importance of this new chapter for each student:
“Your arrival in Turkey marks courage and determination. Every step you take here is also a contribution to Mozambique’s future. Welcome to the COMOZTR family. Together we are stronger, together we carry Mozambique in our hearts.”
What the guide offers:
The guide is organized into eight main sections:
- Message from the President
- Essential Tips for Starting Well in Turkey – including SIM card acquisition, opening bank accounts, using public transport, and accessing the e-Devlet portal
- City Representatives – contact list of local leaders in Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Konya, Eskişehir, Samsun, and other cities
- Meet the Team – introduction of the president, secretary-general, departments, and coordinators
- Mission & Vision – reinforcing the association’s role in uniting and strengthening the Mozambican community
- Membership Contributions – explanation of the benefits of keeping dues up to date, including financial support and solidarity in difficult times
- COMOZTR Official Website – digital space for registration, access to reports, opportunities, and exclusive news
- Closing Note – encouragement for active participation and strengthening community bonds

According to COMOZTR’s leadership, the guide is not just a practical tool but also an instrument of integration.
